We have exciting opportunities for Mid and Senior Cloud Engineers to join our growing team here at Grand Parade

Our Cloud Engineering team are pivotal to the build and expansion of our next generation proprietary Sports and Gaming platform at Grand Parade We are looking for highly motivated and technically skilled individuals with an appetite for continuous learning & development to join our team in either Leeds or Krakow, focusing on reusability, reliability, and automation in everything we do.

As the Cloud Engineer in one of our squads you’ll work as part of an agile team, within the Engineering ecosystem to deliver high-quality technical solutions that leverage cutting edge cloud native technologies, & create re-useable platform products in code that will drive our company ambition and future success. #Kubernetes #Terraform #Istio #AWS

You’ll be involved in:

Driving our expansion into Amazon Web Services (AWS), through effective DevOps principles, clean Terraform code, Docker/Kubernetes orchestration and automation

Workload migration into AWS, along with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery

Working within an agile engineering squad to advance and improve our operational capabilities and cycle time for feature delivery

Engaging and directing Proof of Concept’ or prototyping of applications and solutions

Ensuring security, operational and supportability guidelines are factored into the construction of solutions

Ensuring quality metrics in product implementation

Mentoring junior engineers

Skills needed:

Current hands-on experience of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and Kubernetes (ideally running Kubernetes for production workloads). A successful track record in Infrastructure as code including management and testing infrastructure deployments

Experience in creating reusable cloud architecture and composable terraform modules

Experience architecting end to end cloud services for high performance API based applications

Hands on programming skills with Infrastructure as code in Terraform

Familiarity developing distributed services deployed on local, on premise and cloud-based platforms

A working knowledge of configuration management, provisioning and orchestration tools

Monitoring / Logging with Prometheus, Grafana, experience with monitoring tools

Experience with networking fundamentals, firewalls, load balancers, and across AWS account communication

Experience with Istio service mesh is desirable.

Keeping up-to-date with the latest tools and features that could help our teams perform even better

Developing effective tooling, alerts, and response to identify and address reliability risks of our services

A deep understanding of cloud paradigms (IaaS, CaaS, PaaS, microservice architectures, CI/CD)

Experience with deployment and administration of containerised services
