Software Developer
- Handle large volumes of data and integrate our cloud-based platform with various internal and external systems.
- Engage with new technologies and their applications in data management to provide the best possible service to our growing internal customer base.
- Collaborate with an agile team of business professionals, testers, architects, and project managers.
- Develop complex logic integrations while maintaining high-quality documentation, code, and business logic.
- Ensure non-functional requirements (NFRs) such as maintainability, supportability, restorability, monitoring, and performance are integral to all deliveries.
- Senior Data Engineers will mentor team members, leveraging previous mentoring experience.
- Contribute to establishing our team as a true enterprise team using the latest technologies.
- Expertise in data engineering and data quality, with strong SQL/NoSQL skills for handling large data sets and complex transformations. Proficient in Big Data platforms like Apache Spark/Hadoop and cloud solutions such as Snowflake, GCP BigQuery, and AWS Redshift.
- Skilled in building data pipelines using tools like Airflow, and experienced in streaming processing with Kafka, Kinesis, Spark Streaming, and Flink. Proficient in Java and/or Python, with experience supporting Data Scientists in Machine Learning projects.
- Experienced in the full SDLC within a similar environment, working in small, focused scrum teams on event-driven integrations. Adept at writing well-designed, testable, efficient code following good coding standards.
- Familiar with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and practices such as TDD and BDD. Experience mentoring other engineers and collaborating with testers to ensure performance and resilience SLAs.
