Cloud and System Engineer- 12m FTC
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices and standards across infrastructure and applications
- Maintain and advance the Infrastructure-as-Code approach using Ansible, Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Ensure high availability and reliability of infrastructure and applications
- Develop automation tools to streamline service and infrastructure management
- Support deployment teams and enhance the development pipeline
- Automate the application lifecycle, leveraging DevOps and Continuous Delivery/Deployment practices
- Develop effective tooling, alerts, and response mechanisms to address reliability risks
- Mentor and coach junior team members, fostering skill development and knowledge sharing
- Experience as a Cloud & System Engineer in complex environments, hands-on experience with AWS services (ALB, NLB, EC2, ECS, EKS, RDS, Lambda, etc.)
- In-depth understanding of cloud paradigms (IaaS, CaaS, PaaS, microservices), experience in automated deployments, and managing scalable infrastructure with tools like Terraform, Puppet, Chef, Ansible, or Salt
- Experience with containerized services (Docker), Blue/Green and Canary deployment strategies, managing infrastructure as code, and building highly automated CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitLab CI, Jenkins, SonarQube)
- Knowledge of distributed systems, performance and availability challenges, scripting (Bash, Python, Ruby), Agile practices (Scrum, Kanban), and willingness to provide rotational on-call support.
- Advantageous if you have certifications in AWS, Kubernetes, or prior experience in software development
