Gender Gap in IT - Panel Discussion

If you’re into women in tech topic, make sure you save the date for Gender Gap in IT panel discussion where Dorota Sternalska and other invited experts will explore the topic of underrepresentation of women in IT and science. Dorota is an Agile Coach in Data and Analytics and mentor and workshop facilitator in Lead IT, Lady programme as well.

As Women in Technology Team (event organisers) said:

We're meeting on the occasion of publication of the "Gender Gap in Polish" report (raport “Gender Gap po polsku”), in which Women in Technology team made an attempt to explore the reasons for the under-representation of women in technical and science professions. The observations included in the study inspired creating the Lead IT, Lady! Project - a mentoring programme which aims to support women in taking up leadership roles.

Invited guests will try to answer the following questions:

  • why is this happening?
  • at what point do changes take place and this gap is created?
  • is it a conscious process?
  • do we have a chance to reduce these inequalities relatively soon and close the gender gap, so that both women and men can find fulfilment at work, not only in the IT world?

The session will be joined by:

  • Eliza Durka - Cieślawska, CEO at Cosmos for Girls Foundation
  • Dr Bianka Siwińska, CEO Perspektywy Women in Tech
  • Karolina Wasielewska, Girls Gone Tech
  • Dorota Sternalska, Grand Parade
