Senior Python Engineer
You will be part of the team developing the next generation of Grand Parade’s Sportsbook platform. Through innovation we aspire to delight with world class gaming experiences. We are bringing the very best in e-Commerce practices to the Sportsbook sector.
Our developers are responsible for the development of the new features and updates for our customers.
They also work improving and modernising our software product to ensure we offer a performant, scalable and secure product.
What you will be doing
- Own and ensure non-functional requirements such as scalability, performance, monitoring, maintenance, security, and usability
- Take initiative and ownership to drive tasks to completion and overcome roadblocks with positivity and creativity
- Lead technical and functional discussions within the Scrum team and gain deep knowledge of the system
- Functionally testing all developed code to a very high standard to enable QA to test efficiently
- Provide support for production issues
- Mentor and assist more junior team members to help develop their skills and ensure the high quality outputs
- Design and develop code with performance optimisation, extensibility and maintainability in mind
Who we are looking for

- Have solid experience with Python, MySQL & Linux
- Experience in version control systems, ideally Git
- Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced development schedule
- Experience in Kafka, ActiveMQ (or other messaging platforms), Docker, AWS
