Senior Java Software Developer
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Java Developer that is curious and open minded when it comes to technology. You’ll be working on a microservices architecture responsible for the Sportsbook Betslip, Cashout and Build Your Odds for William Hill’s UK, Spanish and Italian websites.
What you will be doing
- Translating functional and non-functional requirements into working software with your team
- Working closely with the team to analyse, debug and resolve any defects
- A commitment to monitoring and observability, trying to find performance issues or bottlenecks in advance
- Ensuring technical debt is managed effectively (avoid creating it & remove it whenever there’s opportunity)
- Communicate clearly with everyone, translating non-technical and technical requirements appropriately to stakeholders
- Understanding timelines and dependencies, coordinating with teams around you
- Taking responsibility for product delivery and your contributions to it
Who we are looking for
We are committed to responsible gambling, and we are looking for people who can support our ethos. To apply to this post, you will have:
- Solid experience with Java (at least 11) frameworks eg. SpringBoot
- Cassandra, Redis, DynamoDB, RIAK (or other NoSQL databases)
- Kafka, ActiveMQ (or other messaging platforms)
- Experience in Docker, GitLab CI, AWS and Terraform
