Front-End Engineer

Our team is building the New Global Trading Platform that optimises flexibility, performance, responsiveness and resiliency. The technologies we like to use include React, Cypress, Yarn, Styled Components, Vite, Gitlab CI, Kubernetes and AWS. You’ll work with the developers of our REST APIs and WebSockets to deliver high performance, low latency interfaces for our end users. We are looking for an experienced Senior Frontend Developer to maintain and build our interfaces. It’s a hands-on role within a delivery team and you won’t ever be sat twiddling your thumbs. You will be active in all phases of the development lifecycle. There is also the opportunity to be involved in the design of our interfaces. You will work directly with the customer creating wireframes and mockups to deliver great user experiences. What you will be doing
  • Working with the team to develop interfaces for our end users
  • Work on designs to arrive at the most performant and user-friendly solutions
  • Investigate, reproduce and resolve defects
  • Refactor code where there’s benefit in doing so
  • Review code and provide constructive feedback
  • Pair program with other UI developers
  • Serving as mentor/coach on frontend development working with other engineers
  • Optimize applications for maximum performance and scalability
  • Translating functional and non-functional requirements into working software
Who we are looking for We are committed to responsible gambling, and we are looking for people who can support our ethos. To apply to this post, you will have:
  • Experience with React, Redux
  • Professional development experience with a focus on the most common CSS techniques, CSS preprocessors, HTML, DOM, browser support and engines, HTTP and browser performance
  • Demonstrable knowledge of JavaScript, Typescript, S3, cypress
  • Experience of building software from inception to production
  • Familiarity with version control systems
